In 2017 the Miami Marlins were experiencing attendance of over 20,000 per game:
But, since Derek Jeter & investor Bruce Sherman purchased the team for $1.2 billion from Jeffrey Loria in October, they have been on a mission to cut payroll. Famously trading Giancarlo Stanton to the Yankees. So far in 2018, the attendance has seen some nights as low as 5,500 for a single game and an average of below 10,000 ytd.
