The British manufacturer Hybrid Air Vehicles produces luxurious aircrafts that combine technology from aeroplanes and helicopters.
Hybrid Air Vehicles are the owners, designers and assemblers of the world’s largest aircraft, the Airlander 10.
The Airlanders are quieter, have lower footprints, and have better cargo-carrying capacity than almost any other flying vehicle.
Lockheed Martin has some designs for future airships that are extremely ambitious.
The Airlander 10 has a max speed of 91 miles per hour. An Airlander’s interior is plush, with a bar, a glass floor, and a lounge area.
Hybrid Air Vehicles wants to make the Airlander 10 available for tourism, with three-day trips over scenic locations.
However, the aircraft needs to complete 200 incident-free hours in the sky before it is available for the public.
Hybrid Air Vehicles has won numerous awards, including The Sir Barnes Wallis Medal, and Popular Science’s, “Best of What’s New Award Winner” in Aerospace Category.
