Indoor Skiing Arrives in New York City
Imagine you have had a stressful day of work and traffic and all you want is to feel the wind against your face as you fly down a ski slope.
This dream will soon become a reality, opening next door to MetLife Stadium, where the New York Giants & Jets play.
Well, not quite in New York City, but just across the bridge.
Big SNOW America plans to open its ski slopes in New Jersey this March 2019.
16 floors tall and 180,000 square feet, this facility will become the ideal winter resort of the east coast.
There are plans to include a chalet, various stores, restaurants, an après lounge, and even an ice-climbing wall.
This resort will only be 4.5 miles out of Manhattan, attracting the large tri-state area population of 20.3 million people. [1]
The primary difference between Big SNOW and other indoor ski locations is the snow.
With state-of-the-art snowmaking equipment, the facility will be able to control every aspect of the weather inside, creating the ultimate experience for visitors.
But, if you get bored of skiing there will be a gigantic mall at your fingertips.
Will this become the another white elephant in New York's history or become a sensation? We can't wait to find out!
