Netflix Subscriber Growth Misses Target
Although Netflix’s recent quarterly earnings beat analyst expectations, for the first time in over a year it missed its target for additional subscribers by more than 1 million with only 5.1 million new subscribers. Additionally, investors raised concerns over Amazon, Disney, and AT&T’s investments in streaming services that may bite away at the market share over time. Over the next quarter, Netflix may have to introduce new features or services to quell the growing concerns about its potential slowing growth.
